LAWS AND LEGISLATION FOR INDIAN MEDICINE IN INDIA
The entitled book “LAWS AND LEGISLATION FOR INDIAN MEDICINE IN INDIA” is a compilation of all the Laws, Notices, Circulars, Governments Orders, and Court Judgments. This compilation work is done by Dr.S.M.Hussain (Director, Avicenna Research Center Mumbai) and Dr.Mohammad Qaiser Khan (Lecturer Dept. of P.S.M. ZVM Unani Medical College & Hospital Pune.)

This book carries all the laws, related to medical practice, institute, college, pharmacy, food and drugs ,thus it will equally beneficial and significant in favor of all the practitioner of Indian medicine, colleges, institutes and as well as in favor of Laws enforcement authorities.

Achievements of Faculty Members:

Dr. Ghazala Javed Mulla Dr. Ghazala Javed Mulla is the first Unani Physician from Maharashtra to be awarded the M. Phil degree in Ayuerveda in the month of April 2008 from Ayuerveda System of Medicine by the University of Pune in the subject Kaya Chikitsa.



Dr. Farha Rizwan Dr. Farha Rizwan represented Unani Medical College at 5th Symposium on nutrition & Chiropractic at Palmar College of Chiropatic, Davenport, IOWA, USA on 23rd April 2006 and presented a paper titled “malnutrition in school going children in rural areas of Pune district of India & importance of nutritional counseling of parents of these children”.

The election for seats to be elected from Maharashtra  was held according to Indian Medicine Central Council Rules, 1975 under Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 was held.

The counting of the above said election was done on the evening and night of 5th October, 2008. The election was for electing four candidates for Ayurveda and 1 candidate for Unani Medicine.

Dr. Muqaddam Mushtaque Umer who secured the highest votes i.e. 484 votes amongst the other contesting  candidates, is hereby declared to be elected to the Central Council of Indian Medicine.

Reasearch Topic,"Screening of Anticonvulasant activity of Asafoetida" has been approved in Board of Research of Ayuerveda and Unani in MUHS,Nashik University for Research Teacher Fellowship. to Dr.Asif Ansari,M.D.Ilmul Advia.
